Create Database

An Operational Database Model is the basis for generating SQL DDL that, once compiled by a DBMS and is deployed on a server becomes the database for holding real enterprise data. An Operational Database Model must exist within the scope of a database and a particular DBMS. The process to create a database and DBMS includes:

• Start the Operational Database Model Metabase System Module
• Select the DBMS
• Enter User Name and Password
• Select the Menu Item, Reference Data, then the subordinate item, DBMS Information, and then DBMS
• Press Insert
• Enter the DBMS name, Vendor, and Description
