Generate View Columns for a View

Views are data-interface specifications between databases and business information systems. A view consists of a relationship between one or more DBMS Column to View Column relationships, When a View Column is both Atomic and non-derived, it can be generated directly from DBMS Columns. The process is accomplished by:

• Start the View Database Model Metabase System Module
• Select the DBMS
• Enter User Name and Password
• Select the Menu Item, View Data Models, then the subordinate item, Generate View Columns for a View
• Select a View
• Select a Database
• Select a DBMS Schema
• Select a DBMS Table
• Tag one or more DBMS Columns
• Press Build to generate the View Columns
