Promote Data Element to
Data Element Concept

A Data Element may have been mistakenly entered into the database when upon review it is really a Data Element Concept that, in turn, could related to multiple data elements. In this case, the data element should be "promoted" so that it is a data element concept. This is accomplished by:

• Start the Data Element Metabase System Module
• Select the DBMS
• Enter User Name and Password
• Select the Menu Item, Promote Data Element to Data Element Concept
• Select the appropriate data element to be promoted
• Select the appropriate Data Element Concept Structure Type
• Select the appropriate Data Element Concept within which the promoted Data Element should reside.
• Process the promotion.
