ReAssign Columns to Data Elements

Columns may have been mistakenly assigned to a wrong Data Element and may need to be reassigned. This reassignment is accomplished by:

• Start the Implemented Database Model Metabase System Module
• Select the DBMS
• Enter User Name and Password
• Select the Menu Item, ReEngineering, and then the subordinate menu item, ReAssign Columns to Data Elements.
• Select ReAssign-from Schema.
• Select ReAssign-from Table.
• Tag as many ReAssign-from Columns as appropriate
• Select an appropriate Business Domain
• Tag one Data Element that is be the ancestor Data Element for all the tagged Move-from Columns.
• Press the button that ReAssigns the Column reassignment action
