Remove Column Data Element Assignments

There may be a need to delete a Data Element. If there exists, however one or more already assigned Columns, the deletion process is not allowed. To accomplish the deletion of a data element, the assignments between Columns and Data Elements have to be removed. This removal is accomplished by:

• Start the Implemented Database Model Metabase System Module
• Select the DBMS
• Enter User Name and Password
• Select the Menu Item, ReEngineering, and then the subordinate menu item, Remove Attribute Column Assignments.
• Select Schema
• Select Table
• Tag the Column Data Element pairs that are to have the Column to Data Element relationship removed.
• Press the Remove button that accomplishes the action
