Database Management Systems (DBMS)
The underlying software mechanism of every database is a database management system (DBMS). Whitemarsh provides materials that describe computer science technology from which the features of a DBMS are configured.
Most DBMS's are based on the SQL language standardized by ANSI and ISO. Whitemarsh, an officer and member of the ANSI INCITS DM32.2 Technical Committee on Database since 1978 has participated in the development of all SQL standards.
Since SQL buyers cannot avail themselves of any conformance tests, Whitemarsh provides detailed features evaluation questionnaires that can be employed by DBMS buyers to select the DBMS must suitable to their needs.
