Inductive Enterprise Architecture Development is accomplishes in a bottom up fashion. Ultimately this means researching the existing set of enterprise IT work products and ultimately stitching them together in what would be all the top-down layers that comprise traditional top-down enterprise architectures. This As-Is Enterprise Architecture is then analyzed and a To-Be Enterprise Architecture is formed.
Enterprise Architecture Transformation projects are configured and executed across time until the To-Be Enterprise Architecture exists. From that point on, as the enterprise evolves, these newly created To-Be components become As-Is components which are then transformed to the newly required To-Be components.
Through this process, Enterprise Architectures are able to be evolved and maintained concurrently with the all the existing and transformed IT work products.
